The Kuhns come to LBTC from Calgary, where Pastor Mike was serving as Associate
Pastor along with Kara’s father. From the beginning they shared interest in Bible translation,
and later on Mike enrolled in the linguistics programme at Trinity Western University in Langley B.C.
The Kuhns were deployed to Cameroon to work with the Nizaa people, and in their short time in Galim
they have made good progress. God has blessed the Kuhns and their team with some wonderful
discoveries of translation work that had already been done. Mike hopes to bring some Bible to publication very soon.<\/p>

The Kuhns have four children, Tobias, Gideon, Gloria, and Jubilee.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Kayla has been serving as a missionary kid teacher in Cameroon since 2022. She is currently stationed at The Greenhouse, an elementary school in Yaound\u00e9 focused on educating\u00a0the children of bible translators and other missionaries in Cameroon. She has always loved children\u00a0and has had a passion for missions since she was a young teenager. Kayla holds an Honours Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelors of Education from Lakehead University. She likes to quote Hudson Taylor, saying: \u201cThere are three stages to any great work of God; first it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rev. Mohr\u00a0is an ordained pastor in Lutheran Church Canada, and has served several congregations in senior and vacancy roles since 1986. He also served as a hospital chaplain in Sarnia, Ontario (1990-1992) and in Cincinnati, Ohio (1992-1997). \u00a0He comes to LBTC from serving asthe LCC East District Mission Executive\/Mission Encourager (2014-2018).\u00a0 In 2018 he accepted LBTC’s call to serve as Executive Director. Pastor Mohr\u00a0supervises and\u00a0advises the field missionaries, Home Office staff, and volunteers, promotes and maintains strong relationships with partner churches and translation organizations, and\u00a0works in development domestically to help fund LBTC’s work overseas.<\/p>

Pastor Mohr is married to the joy and love of his life, Karen,\u00a0and they have two married children and five\u00a0beautiful grandchildren.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Tara is a long-time LBTC employee, serving in the Kitchener Home Office\u00a0since 2003. Her responsibilities include maintaining\u00a0financial records, payroll,\u00a0communication with government departments, and other tasks. She\u00a0also co-ordinates the efforts of LBTC volunteers involved in mailing and office work.<\/p>

Tara is married to Gary, and has two children, Kristen and Jennifer. They are members of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Conestogo, Ontario.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
